About Us:
Avalon Structural, Inc. is a construction company focused on foundations serving primarily the California counties of Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Monterey. Since 1993 we have been performing foundation repair (including horizontal crack repair), installation of deep foundations, construction of retaining walls, providing creative hillside solutions, and performing general concrete work and various other commercial projects. We have more than thirty years of experience in foundation repair, with especially deep knowledge in helical piles, resistive piles, and other deep foundation solutions. We stay on the cutting edge of new technologies and strive to bring our clients the best solutions available.

Location:
Our office is in Santa Cruz, California and we will travel up to about 90 minutes away for most projects, including as far north as Campbell, Saratoga, Blossom Valley, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, and Redwood City. The majority of our work is in the San Jose area. We also travel south to Watsonville, Salinas, Monterey, Carmel-By-The-Sea, and Carmel Valley. We will also travel more distantly for commercial projects or very large residential projects.
Inspections:
In addition to our construction work, Avalon leverages its experience to provide detailed foundation inspections for residential or commercial properties. We perform floor level surveys to precisely document any unlevel floors and endeavor to provide the most accurate analysis of the situation, including working with independent engineers when necessary to provide a complete diagnosis of the situation and potential remediation.

Retaining Wall with Concrete Bottom Layer
Constant moisture on this retaining wall required some inventive design to increase the longevity of the structure given the desire for attractive wood construction.

Our History:
As early as 1993 in Aptos, California, our founder Roger Pase would crawl a subarea, diagnosis the issue, and come back with his crew the next day to repair the issue, whether it be as simple as a horizontal foundation crack or as complex as unlevel floors. Always keen for the most cost-effective solution for his clients, Avalon soon connected with innovators in the growing field of helical piles for foundation stabilization instead of full foundation replacement or drilled pier underpinning. We then added the resistive pile to our repair toolkit, which can be even more economical in certain situations. Avalon continues to stay abreast of the latest innovations in foundation repair while maintaing our sterling repuation for providing the highest quality solution at the fairest price point.

Our Equipment:
Avalon's fleet of tractors contains a range of sizes and specialties so we can always use the largest equipment possible to get the job done as soon as possible and give our clients the lowest costs possible. We have large equipment for excavation, demolition, drilling, and helical pier installation. We also have the equipment for both minor and major excavation and dirt-moving projects.

We are a relatively leanly-staffed construction crew, and so every member of our team is valuable and respected on their own merits and for their experience.
