UNDERPINNING DONE RIGHT
After installation of the deep pier, Avalon fills the pier with rebar and grout for additional strength and corrosion protection. After lifting the foundation, Avalon places and vibrates concrete at each pier location, encasing the lifting bracket and filling the gap under the foundation.This process is far superior to simply backfilling with dirt as it provides corrosion protection, provides seismic protection, and restores ground contact for redundancy and lateral stability.

In this example of underpinning a hillside foundation, Avalon lifted the foundation with resistive piers, then installed helical tiebacks with rebar and concrete to keep the house on top of the hill.
