Avalon has installed high capacity helical piers and anchors for wind turbines and other towers, including this 320 foot tall wind turbine at the Budweiser plant in Fairfield, California.

Avalon Structural installed the helical piles for this 350 foot tall turbine in Soledad, CA. The soil under the tower, and around the helical plates, was pressure grouted via ports in the helical pile shafts for additional capacity.

Avalon installing the second helical deep foundation for a wind tower for Budweiser in Fairfield, CA. Each pier has a compression and tension capacity of over 250,000 lbs before grouting.

Helical piers for a wind turbine for the County of Monterey in Soledad, CA.
As the helical pile is installed, it is constantly checked for plumbness.
A tension test in Dixon, CA. The pier passed a 147,000 lb pull test without grout.
Both compression and tension capacity of helix can be increased inexpensively by pressure grouting. For this wind turbine foundation, Avalon pressure grouted the soil around the helical discs. Grout was pumped through the helix pier shaft under 900 psi to densify and strengthen the soil.
